Scanning budget books

The budget books are publicly available and can be obtained from the Ministry of Finance. To make the budget books more easily accessible, Uwazi has started scanning the 2010/2011 budget books to make them available in machine readable format.

It is envisaged that by end March 2011, the scanned budget books will be available in excel.

 

Step 1: obtain the budget books

Step 2: prepare for scanning

Step 3: scan the individual pages

Step 4: edit scanned pages

Step 5: prepare an excel file
